Pearce Re-jig

Next project

As a result of pervious extensions, the existing house was a hodge-podge of odd spaces and awkward add-ons. Removing the enclosed kitchen, laundry, and bathroom from the middle of the house made way for a large living-dining space separated by double-sided fireplace. A new kitchen takes in commanding views to the north, while additional wet areas are consolidated to the south. The new layout delineates a clear circulation spine, and all rooms benefit from good natural light and ventilation. The addition of a covered rear deck invites the centralised living spaces to spill out and connect with the garden.
