The existing ex-govvie had several add-ons resulting in a large two-storey house with dim lighting, separated living and poor connection to the yard. A ‘light touch’ approach was implemented, keeping within the existing walls and simply opening-up the spaces, bringing in natural light, connecting to the rear deck and improving energy efficiency. New timber floors and hardwood joinery bring a warmth and natural calm to the space, while the new laundry, bathroom & toilet cater to the growing family.
